The pet that I have had

When I was six years old, every summer I always went to my grandparents’ house to visit them. My grandma and grandpa both were very nice and kind.

One day in a summer, I went to their house again. When I pushed the front door, I saw two little chicks, one yellow and one black. I was surprised. My grandpa told me he got them from a farm market. I liked them very much. I fed them everyday. The two little chicks liked to eat rice and some vegetable leaves. Also I always played with them. Every Saturday morning, I went to a pond with my grandpa. My grandpa caught some little fish and little shrimps. We stayed there for about two hours, and then we went back to home. I put some little fish and little shrimps on my hands. The two little chicks used their small mouths to eat them. I saw them growing everyday. Also the two chicks always went to the outside grass, and they could find little bugs just for themselves. I remember every time when I took a food bowl standing outside and if they saw me, they would run very fast to me for the food. But one day the two chicks didn’t want to eat food. I had no idea what happened. I asked my grandpa. He told me the two chicks caught a plague. A few days later, the two chicks died. I was very sad and cried for a long time because I lost my lovely pets.

In the memory of these two little chicks, my grandpa and I put a stone plate to the place where the two chicks were buried. Every summer when I went back to my grandpas’ house, I never forgot to visit them.

This is a very nice description of your experience with the two little chicks. You use good details to help me see the chicks and what you did to help them. It is so sad that they died when they were so young. Your grandparents were very nice to help you with this early experience with death, weren't they?

I like the story about catching shrimps and feeding them to the chicks.
